Yeah, that whole pesky "deductive reasoning" bullshite.

We have seen similar chemical reactions in the cosmos and our own solar system. Why wouldn't it repeat itself at least once with the hundreds of quadrillions of worlds out there. It's an unconfirmed fact that there is life out there somewhere.

In fact, Mars is naturally producing methane. Methane is produced by two things: geological activity and life itself. Mars is by all accounts dead and has been for quite sometime, to where the methane should have broken down by now. But if there is microscopic life on Mars, its entirely feasible that it is what is producing the methane. And that is our fricking neighbor in our same solar system.

I firmly believe there is life outside of our planet, though "life" is a very broad term.

And no, I don't believe we've been visited.

Well let's see, one out of 8 of our planets has confirmed life, with 3 more worlds in our own solar system feasibly also having the right conditions for life to form. Everything is/was present on Mars, Europa, and Titan for life to theoretically take hold. We've found exoplanets with similar circumstances and should be able to harbor life. It's not a weak argument, but an incredibly strong one. Sorry you don't understand basic probability.

Humans have been around for about 10,000 years. And only about 500 years ago did the humans accept the Earth is round and orbits the Sun. In only the last 100 years or so have humans begun really exploring the possibilities of the universe.

No one should be naive enough to think we know anything at this point except what we think we know.

The math is the only thing that makes sense.

Every Christian believes there is intelligent life out there somewhere and they have been here. They may not own up to it in those terms but where else would heaven be??

Honestly, anyone who doesn't believe that life exists outside of Earth in any form is incredibly ignorant. Our planet is pretty much made up of alien debris that spawned life, so how can there not be life elsewhere in the universe?

I'm with you. "Space" was a hobby of mine as a kid (nerdy arse refractor telescope and all) and I took a few courses in college. Always an interesting debate.

All I can say is that if the blue alien women want to perform medical experiments, by body is willing.

I understand probability, but your statements prove that you do not. It is probable that life exists dies not equate to proof that life exists.

Sure why not. As big as the universe is there has to be other life out there.

I think that's the least of things that keeps out future overlords from returning.

I believe there is almost certainly life out there.

I believe there is probably at least some intelligent life out there but it is probably very rare with simple life being far more common.

I believe there has never been any life from another world visit this one.

I believe it's highly unlikely our civilization will last long enough to ever reach another inhabited world outside our own solar system.

I believe if we ever do discover a new intelligent life form, it will be best if we do not reveal our existence to them at least until we thoroughly study them to make sure they are not a threat be it from invasion/attack or even inadvertent exposure to illnesses for which we have no immunity.

There are billions of stars just in our galaxy. This can't be the only planet with life on it in the Universe. Doubt aliens have ever visited, though.
