This insane government overreach and abuse brought to you by the Great State of Texas, the conservative small government utopia that so many people on this board feel is the greatest place ever.

Unfortunately, corrupt overbearing government officials are everywhere.

You do realize that the reason Texas has a great economy is because of decades of conservative statewide leadership?

Apparently, Lisa..is quite the minx..you can get it with her and a great job...but once it's over, so is your life.

I'm willing to mix it up for a bit.

Spec's in Westlake is the closest liquor store to me. I would have lost it if that one had gotten shut down.

You mean a culture where the courts slapped the government down and everyone is looking at the agency in question going WTF are you smoking?

And you are attempting to equate that with the stories of fraud/corruption that came out of BR/ NOLA in the past year and the public and officials collectively went: "meh?" Really?

I think it's very strange coming from south LA, that I can't buy liquor just anywhere. But, I don't really notice it. Times I've wanted liquor, I go to specs anyway because of the huge selection.

When the TABC called United Wine & Spirits executives to the stand, the executives quickly threw TABC under the bus, testifying that although they disputed the agency's charges, they agreed to pay the TABC $100,000 to “make the case go away.” They calculated it would be cheaper and easier than fighting it out.

These people should tarred and feathered fit wasting tax dollars

Specs isn't a liquor store. It is the Sistine Chapel of Intoxicants.

Nothing in Louisiana even comes close. Not even Aquistapace in Covington. I go to Aquistipace every week and wish it was half a Specs.
