A Miami Beach valet who was clearly desperate to burn a little rubber on the roads of the beachfront town ended up burning out the engine of the $200,000 car.

Eyewitnesses say the valet got carried away revving the powerful motor causing it to rapidly overheat allowing flames to shoot out from the back of the vehicle.

Do these high end cars really overheat that easily?

No kidding, I'd only let them do it if they pulled it 20' forward and left it parked right there. No way I'd trust those buffoons with that.

seems more likely that he destroyed the clutch and generated enough heat to catch something on fire.

this is why you don't buy cars like that. every dipshite on the planet is either jealous or can't wait to get behind the wheel and wreck it.

i hope the car is totaled and the valet has to pay every penny, and then goes to jail.

no reason to do that with someone else's property.

He tried to "burn rubber" in a 691-horsepower AWD car on what are basically race tires with a single-clutch automated manual transmission.

Shredded the clutch, flashed the trans fluid and kaboom.

I don't like the Aventador but that's a shame.

Actually it is. This is a known problem with these cars. You can watch the video below to see it happen in action when you rev the engine.

My thoughts exactly. I guess to a news reporter, it's pretty much the same thing.
