You should probably show more caution when driving a vehicle instead of acting like a retard. It seems like injuring someone is fine in your mind

That biker would have beaten your arse and then thrown you back in your car

Bikers always seem to have a chip on their shoulders

They'll ride your arse and try to take up the entire road with their gang, and then get pissed when you go around them

What about the bicyclist? Shouldn't that same logic apply to him? He's clearly in the wrong, but because I have a distinct advantage by being in a car, I'm in the wrong?

Eta- hey pec

It's not about that. It's just dangerous for everybody. Those guys riding on river road between between the ferry and 74 are nuts. Putting themselves and everyone else in a potentially bad situation.

I actually ran over a biker in 96 because I was messing with my pager while driving. I was young and stupid so I just kept driving and didn't look back. I didn't hear anything about it in the news so I assume he didn't die. I never page and drive now because of that

I'm not saying he wasn't in the wrong but there's no reason to potentially ruin you life by driving close to them for no reason

Was this on Marconi?

I was just somewhat joking.

I ride a good bit and would never take up a second lane, nor would I ride in a group big enough to cause big traffic backups.

Basically there are assholes everywhere, including in cars and on bikes. Both sides need to be a little more considerate.

Typical OT with blanket statements about a whole group of people.

I was a former non biker and have become a biker.

As such, I stay as far out of the road as possible.
I never ride 2 wide.
I stop at stop signs and red lights.
I make eye contact with drivers at intersections, so we both know what's what.
I wave cars through the intersection ahead of me.

A small sailboat has the right of way over a large powerboat. Do you want to enforce that right?

Screw the arrogant bikers. Screw the arrogant drivers.

I don't know why but most of them are aggressive and angry all the time. Don't know any laid back cyclists

There is a perfectly good bike path to the side of Robert E. Lee, but the city overpaid some contract to meet some measure of effectiveness in making miles of bike paths by painting white bikes of death on the street.

Which I am, otherwise I'd start a thread every day because I deal with bikers and this bike lane at least four times a day. Today was just an exception. Dude flipped me off like he was entitled to that spot. Probably doesn't stop for stop signs either.

That's true too. Guess my thread title would have been more accurate if I changed it to 'entitlement mentality, please explain'
