Having teachers who look like them is crucial for young Americans. Research has found Black students who have at least one Black teacher are more likely to graduate from high school and less likely to be suspended or expelled. Some new research suggests the training found at HBCUs may be part of what makes an effective teacher.

We are really heading back to segregation aren’t we? And the Shakespearean irony is…. The ones who fought hardest against it are now for it.

Man you would think with all the talk about this white supremacy and threat to America you would think they were actually talking about black people.

I dont think i ever said, man i wish all my teachers were white males, how am I ever not going to get suspended?

Progressive revisionists believe that Brown v. Board actually hurt black kids because - when forced to choose - school systems across the country shut down black schools and terminated black teachers.

Ask Ed Reed and Deion Sanders if they think HBCUs do right by their students.

What makes HBCU graduate teachers effective is that they drop the standards and just pass on the kids. Of course they are not going to have problems.

One summer I took two elective classes at BRCC. This was 1999-2000.. Around that time. One class was history. The person who taught the class was this old black woman who taught at Southern. Very nice lady. I went to her office once, she talked to me for awhile. I liked her. As a professor, I felt like I was sitting in a class in which middle school kids were being taught.

She was all like "in this class I encourage intelligent discussions". She would cover the very basics of a topic, ask the most elementary questions and it didn't matter if someone knew what they frick they were talking about or not, she gave points for participating. And wouldn't correct people she would just say shite like "that's an interesting observation on the topic".

It was as if her goal was to make people feel good about themselves. They could be as dumb as corn, but if they felt good about themselves everyone is happy.

And yet at the same time we have the principal at Salmen accuse the St. Tammany parish school board of systemic racism for not making the white teachers teach at his school instead of Mandeville, Fontainebleu, and lakeshore lol. Said by allowing teachers to pick which school they want to teach at during the annual job fair, they promote systematic racism.

I had ugly teachers in HS. There was a male coach though that like “flirting” with HS girls for some reason. This was back during the 1980’s.

no it won't. If they're good, they have good parents. If they have good parents, those parents will see to it that their kids go to schools that allow them to excel too.

I am having an impossible time believing this to be true.

First of all, where is this mythical school where black students have only white teachers?

Maybe some random private school or some public country school in which case the graduation rate is bound to be better for that small group of black students than the entire population of black students.

It's hard for the siDe that hates traditional families to pimp dual parent households when they were the ones who wanted it this way.

I have zero issue with this.

Although that pretty much proves the advocate is a racist, liberal piece of shite.

Slice, dice, or make any excuse you want. Studying is the key to success. You give an Asian kid 100% white teachers, black teachers, or Asian teachers, it will not matter. They will succeed because they put in the work.
