All y'all stupid. I'd be shocked if wal Mart even stocked fresh basil or Rosemary for that matter. I can see how op couldn't find it. I too try to avoid it, but if I gotta go. I'm in and out. Checking out in the garden section is where it's at. And they usually have close parking.

Their produce sucks balls.

Funny. I shop at a Wal Mart 2-3 times per week and, while they don't have the best selection of produce, they often have things that I cannot get anywhere else in town. They also have the consistently lowest prices. Self check out is a breeze too. No waiting for me.

The new WalMart on Burbank is just fine. The one on College Drive is a nightmare. Like being at the DMV x 100000. But yeah, a decent/clean WalMart isn't bad.. just doesn't fit into the convenience factor for me personally.

I get that, but you've literally mentioned here before that you hate WM, and the people in it. We've talked about this very thing not too long ago IIRC.

I won't move closer to my job because it would mean I'd have to shop at Walmart

I agree Walmart is an awful place but is it really that difficult to find basil in Walmart?

Solution: Costco

I do 90% of mine at Rouses as well.

My only issue is my local/closest rouses only has select items and always the smallest offered. Well both of my closest rouses. The one in the fq and the one in the whd

Walmart stores are one of the most inconsistent things in existence.

I have noticed that Walmart markets seem to be totally different. For some reason they seem to attract fewer hillbillies than conventional Walmart stores.

The people working there are totally different and always helpful. At regular Walmart stores the employees are usually about as helpful as an earache.

After nearly two years avoiding the place (Christmas season 2013), I went to Wal-Mart.

I was short on time, and needed just a few grocery items and things like light bulbs. It was after 6 pm, so Home Depot was closed so this was my best shot.

Never again. The most disorganized mess Ive seen in a store. One worker didn't even know what basil was much less where to find it. I walked up on an assistant manager arguing with another worker about 40 hours being a good thing. I won't say what his excuse was for not wanting the 40 hours, but its cliche.

Disgusting people. Here's to another two years or more avoiding that den of despair.

Hell my mother taught me that not going in Wal Mart ever again was one of the purposes of having a wife.

We avoided Walmart when we lived in LA. The clientele was the determining factor. The Walmart near my house now isn't all that bad. I mean it's not the fanciest place and there are still a few people if Walmart there, but not close enough to make it not worth going there. Plus it is right outside my neighborhood, so I can pop in and out in about 10 minutes.
