After nearly two years avoiding the place (Christmas season 2013), I went to Wal-Mart.

I was short on time, and needed just a few grocery items and things like light bulbs. It was after 6 pm, so Home Depot was closed so this was my best shot.

Never again. The most disorganized mess Ive seen in a store. One worker didn't even know what basil was much less where to find it. I walked up on an assistant manager arguing with another worker about 40 hours being a good thing. I won't say what his excuse was for not wanting the 40 hours, but its cliche.

Disgusting people. Here's to another two years or more avoiding that den of despair.

We've all done it.

Nope, always a cluster. Renews vow to self to never go in again."

Why would you expect a Walmart worker to know what basil is? Just look for the aisle that says spices...Most Walmart workers can't spell basil much less be able to locate it

Why don't you have a stock pile of light bulbs, and grow your own basil??

Literally, everytime I have gone, the onions are rotten, the blackberries have mold on them, everything looks like poo. I'll spend a little more and get my produce elsewhere. I mainly only buy produce and meats at the store anyhow.

It was Sunday. And they close at 7. I still wouldn't have made it.

I haven't been in a Wal Mart in 2 years. I think there's one of those neighbourhood markets 20 min from me But the closest supercentrr is an hour away. Screw them.

I have to go back to southeastern Oklahoma to my other house and land to see people and deer hunt. The only place to shop there is Wal Mart. I'm going to be so sad to go in that place.

Only time I go to Walmart is after 8 PM and before 6 AM, typically on my way to work, and only when the store has a self checkout.

I go to Walmart but only at very odd hours. I refuse to go when it's busy. The last time I went at a semi-peak hour - I had to wait 45 minutes to get change. I had a bill of about $40, but had been given one of those new $100 by the bank so I decided to use it. It took 45 minutes for a manager to go get more cash so they could provide my $60 in change.
Only reason I go is because it's open 24hrs. If not for that, I'd never go at all.

I'll go to Meijers in a pinch before I'll go to Walmart. And that's if it's last case, the 24-hour Kroger is shutdown for some reason, type scenarios.

Humana with their Healthy Living plans has where you can get a discount card to get 10% off groceries when you pick up "healthy foods". Went to sign up for the discount card and the only place you can use it here is fricking Walmart.

I get in and out of Wal-Mart in no time at all. Learn how to shop quicker and self checkout.
