Had it done two years ago. Deviated septum and fricked up sinuses. Honestly, after a few hours home and being quiet, the bulk of the bleeding stopped. I was religious about rinsing with saline packets and warm water. Did wonders with keeping everything clear and open. Had tubes in for about 7 days and the biggest pain was not being able to blow my nose.
One of the best surgeries I have had. Don't get sinus infections anymore.

I had it done about 15 years ago. I probably need to get it done again.
Apparently I grabbed the nurse's arse. I kept getting dry mouth from not being able to breath through my nose and one time she was at my bed side getting my water I got a hand full. I remember staring at her awesome arse and I remember seeing my hand going toward it but it seemed like it was someone else's hand.
Taking out the packaging bandages sucks. My mother said it looked like a clown that keeps pulling the colorful bunting out of his suit. It just kept coming.
Get ready for epic buggers and giant blood clots falling into your throat.

I had it a year ago. It's not bad. Make sure you sleep with sugarless life savers in your mouth for the 1st week. If you have stints in your nose. Keeps your mouth moist while breathing through it. Make sure you use your saline water 5 times a day. It gets easier and easier quickly. Pain pills are good. Sleep upright. It's not near as bad as they made it out to be. I really was just going through the motions of preventative maintenance after 3 weeks.

I had it a month ago. They did not pack mine with gauze. I bled for 9-10 days. I didn't get all my energy back until almost 2 weeks. The inside of my nose is still a little sore but I started to be able to breathe a little better last week. They still have to do the "balloon" in 5 weeks.

Is the procedure (balloon) being done in your doctors office? If so, he/she, is looking for a large payout from insurance. Opening the ostia in your sinuses could have been done the first surgery.

In the office. I had a badly deviated ceptum that had to be corrected in the surgery in order for the balloon to access what it needs to access (what they told me at least). Swelling from the ceptum correction has to go down before doing the balloon.

I had it done back in 1999. Dr. Daniel Jacob in Metairie. I was living with a sinus infection, a miserable life. From the first visit with Dr. Jacob, he knew I was headed for surgery. Deviated septum, and he opened the sinus openings for more air. The surgery was a breeze for me, with packing done overnight and plastic "guitar picks" up in my nose. I took a pain pill, and he removed the packing the next morning. My Dad said it looked like a freak show, but there was no pain, just pressure. For the next 6-8 weeks, I would go to Jacob's office, he would shoot up my nostrils with a deadening agent, and "vacuum" the dried gunk, blood, etc. from my nostrils. When he finally pulled those guitar picks out, I could breathe like never before. Maybe I got lucky with the surgery, but it was fine for me.

Congrats, you probably have HIV/AIDS from the bad blood you received.
