Benadryl works. But I need about 12 hours. Those first four morning hours are in a fog.

Somebody mentioned doxyalamine. Which is what makes NyQuil NyQuil. Doesn't it give you the same hangover effect? Or is it just all the other shite in NyQuil?

I used to take 2 ambien and 4 to 6 xanax before laying down. I don't remember the results during that specific period in life, but I feel like I got sleep.

And surprisingly I didn't get banned.

get off of ambien. I was on it for 11years. I have trouble remembering some things. I used to take both at one time. Get tested for sleep disorder for sure as that is the real danger to your brain, heart and lungs. Now I take another kind of sleeping pill just to get me off to sleep and the cpap machine takes over from there.

Melatonin is not a sleep aid. Your body produces melatonin when it's dark and you lay down to sleep but it's not directly involved with sleeping ability or lack thereof

When I want to sleep, and I mean REALLY sleep, I take 1/2 a doxylamine and a 5mg melatonin.

Meh - I'm pretty convinced it is. Now - different folks may react differently to it. I had occasional bouts of insomnia and the most recent time it tried to flare up, I started fighting back with melatonin, because I didn't want to get on the crazy Ambien train.

It has definitely helped. Now, do I attribute part of it to the placebo effect? Sure. But it can't be all of it. I'm pretty in tune with my own body, baw.

Melatonin does not do it for me. Waste of money.

Ambien works. Horrific side effects if you do it every day..once or twice a week is great. I wish i had some.

I can get to sleep with trazadone. Lasts 5 hours. Its not designed for sleep. Its an anti depressant with get to sleep side effect.

Htp5 and melatonin do not do it for me.

That hangover is going to happen with anything strong if you get up before 8 hrs.
I never sleep 8 hrs.

I'll just assume you're referring to your personal experience with Ambien.
