There's really no need to sterilize the poor, you'd be surprised what a person will do when their child is starving. Even figure out how to hold a job

try to offer an argument that is actually relevant. How exactly are they intruding into anyone's bedroom.

So who's going to pay for the kids, birth control, and medical procedures if a person "breaks" your proposed "rule." ---->

We will. But only one time per person. As opposed to paying for children over and over again and continuing to pay gibs.

I took this as a theoretical question since it'll never happen. I think in theory everyone would agree that if you cannot afford a child you shouldn't have one. Same as a dog or anything else.

Why irreversible? If the get on their own two feet and are financial capable what's wrong with having the procedure done to untie it so they can have kids?

Fine.

But they have to pay the $35,000 back in advance AND pay for the reversal procedure.

If the government pays for that bedroom then it's their right. If you want do to as you please, pay your own bills.

Tube tying should be a requirement for adults who apply for welfare.

Nonsense, plenty of folks are capable of controlling their own reproductive organs even if they are on welfare.

Yall acting like the poor who have children are doing so b/c they don't know any better OR they know better but they can't afford birth control.

The truth is those having children while on welfare just don't give a flying frick. They KNOW they are essentially stealing money from hard working tax payers, they just give a shite.

The answer isn't incentivizing people not to steal from tax payers. The answer is punishing those who do. Easy fix, You get pregnant or get a woman pregnant while on welfare, you get to go prison for 20 years . If the child is born, it goes into foster care.

The first year, you would see a lot of idiots end up in prison for 20 years, the second year and beyond , people would realize that you aren't fricking around.

No one is living this way. You are defining the "black welfare queen"

Nope. I was actually thinking of several people I graduated with who popped out 3 kids by the time they were 24 and spend all day posting from their iphones on Facebook. They are all white.

I think what we can agree on is that there is no one type of welfare person. Some of the people, like you describe, use it for its intended purpose and are good, hard-working folks who are just down on their luck. Others are like the ones I described. All types come in all races. The intent of the program is good, its just that it is abused a lot.

How about we stop paying the dregs of society to make babies

AND

stop making it such a bureaucratic and expensive nightmare for decent, self-sufficient people to adopt kids.

What if the family was doing had a couple kids then fell in hard times?

That's my issue. The question is framed as if most welfare users are part of the permanent dependent class when the majority are on it for a short amount of time. So what are we talking about here? Should a family who paid into the system for years and spent a few months on food stamps be barred from having kids? I don't think so. I'm assuming OP is talking about cradle-to-the-grave welfare recipients.

I don't think any people should be allowed to get pregnant while on welfare. If you're the couple that fell on hard times and need it for a few months, then so be it. It'd be better that you didn't get pregnant during this period anyway. If you're the people that stay on welfare, then you don't need to be having children while on welfare.

If you're on welfare and get pregnant, then no more welfare.
