Nope. The tip culture is out of control.

Why would you? Does anyone tip you for doing your job? Assuming you're not a waiter

No, to the cash tip.

The last couple of times I have moved I gave the movers an ice cold one for the road. They were quick to say "Yes" every time. Did not give them any cash though. They were expensive enough.

You're probably paying 50+ per hour in labor. Why would you feel the need to tip on that?

You should tip the posters on here who answer your question...ever make a decision on your own?

We rented a house in Pensacola. The maids left tip envelopes all over the place. They also left full garbage cans and sandy floors.

It's ridiculous.

I'm gonna start putting up a tip jar at the door, nobody gets out without a respectable tip

Emily Post says floor installers get a tip of $2 per hour. Tip your lawyer 2%, and non-specialist physicians get a flat $20 tip per visit. Dentists do not get tipped because they usually own the business.

If you going through a flooring company and the folks doing the installation are workers I dont see a problem.

The notion that you should tip any person who performs a service in front of you- in addition to the fee which you are required to pay that very service- is out of control.
