The way they get money out of these cases is by shipping you off to as many "doctors" as they can. It makes your claim look legit. That's why chiropractors make so much money. They can keep you coming in for appointments without any real medical problems. They just call it pain. It's all part of the game. If you don't want to play, then you won't get those Morris Bart-type checks.

I'm not advocating this, just saying that it is what it is.

Honest question, why do you want more money than it will take to pay for the medical bills? Are you just trying to milk the system?

Hell, my sciatica is acting up, my hand is recovering from a crush injury and I can smell myself where I miswiped from this morning.

I'm still here making it happen.

ETA: AHD: I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow so I'll take a raincheck on those preserves.

absolutely not. The office changed TP and I wasn't in tune with the new TP's abilities.

I do work but it's not a professional job right now. I have constant pain on my neck once a month for three days and I know it will not go away even with surgery. Why not milk as much money as possible? $6-7k is a walk in the park for me. If I have endure pain on my neck for another 50 years, you damn right I will want as much money as possible

Your lawyer should not pocket more than you at the end of the day. Tell him to cut his fee as necessary. Generally, it's a third, a third, and a third each for the lawyer, the meds, and the client.

The BI carrier isn't going to pay for surgery unless you get the surgery. They don't give a shite about your symptoms.

If you got hit by a rental truck going at you at 45 mph and lost half of your car, I bet you would want to settle for more than 6-7k too.

He filed a lawsuit for me already. I just wanted to know what the adjuster will offer me because my lawyer is insisting me to go back to the doctor. He told me the policy limit is worth around $250,000

If you're injured, you need to be treating regularly with a physician and/or chiro.

the longer you treat and the more serious your injury, the more money you get. If you have 9k in medicals and 2 bulges on your MRI, you should have been referred to a neuro or pain interventionist by now.

Finally an answer worth a shite.

What a train wreck. If you settle and your condition is not resolved, guess what, if it doesn't resolve, you're fricked. If it gets worse, you're fricked. If you get in a later accident and get messed up worse, you're probably fricked more or less if they can relate it to the prior accident.
