Not to mention my insurance went up 50%.

And to put a cherry on this shite, the bitch was on her way to church with a bible sitting on her lap.

Tell your attorney to tell your doctor to request expensive, major surgery whether you actually need it or not.

If he didn't send you to a chiro for 6 months before getting you referred out for a spinal fusion, your lawyer doesn't know how the game is played son.

My plan is to hear what the adjuster have to offer me, which I know will be very low. If not, I can take them to court to get more money

I want to shake you like a snow globe.

I'm not giving you any advice except to listen to your lawyer.

I went to the chiropractor for 8 months and a spine's specialist for one month. The only reason I don't want to go to the doctor anymore because I'm trying to join the Army. I don't want to sit around so I can get more money from medical bills

please talk to your lawyer, tell him all of this and then take notes as he explains things to you.

If you're asking the OT for legal advise, then you better stick with who you've got.

Your lawyer wants to get as much as possible out of this to fatten his own wallet. Unless he's just really bad with money and needs to pay off a bookie really quickly or something. If he thinks that's all the money you'll get, then that's what it is.

I was hit by a car and spent the night in the hospital. Had to hire an attourney to deal with the insurance agency after they gave me the run around for several months. The lengths they went to try and squeeze money out of that case were slightly repulsive and I had legit injuries. I can't see a PI attourney lowballing a case.

As of right now, he can only get me $24,000 (according to him). I told him I wanted to join the Army so I have to move. I'm not hurting for cash but I don't want a low settlement.

I'm kidding. Do what is best for your health and the rest of your life. If you think your attorney is giving you questionable advice, talk to another attorney.

One which requires you to pass a physical and go through a thing called basic training. That, or even this thread, will really add value to your negotiating position.

Eta: no one on here is going to be able to give you better advice with less information than your current attorney.

I can't get a job with my degree in Baton Rouge. That's why I want to join the Army or move to another state. That's why I want to settle my case so I don't have to go to the doctor to get more money

If you want to settle and 24 is all they will offer at the moment, then you either take it or tell your attorney to keep working the case up for trial. Changing attorneys in most cases just slows the process down and could result in the fired attorney asserting a lein claim against any settlement you ultimately receive.

Not legal advice just general points about the process. I don't know enough to speak to your specific situation.

Well your first problem is you are in East or West BR Parish. Then you have only received conservative treatment. You have bulging discs...so do a lot of people w/ no symptoms.

Do you have radiculopathy? Is there any nerve root impingement? Have you gotten an epidural? etc. etc. etc.
