Casualty can include injuries and deaths. In military terms it means a loss of fighting force and can include KIA MIA injuries and captured soldiers

Awful events like the Orlando shooting will keep happening as long as the media deflects or hides the root cause of the violence. Truly sad.

It actually figures more into planning.A shite load of wounded troops,is more of a strain than a train load of dead troops.
A casualty,is anybody who was affected/ (effected?) by a bad thing,not always dead from it.

I'm always against the media bringing in race or something similar when it's not relevant (I'm looking at you ESPN), however I have zero problem with it here, and feel it would be disingenuous to not use "gay" in the headline.
Whether the shooter was white, Muslim or something else, I'd say there's a 99% chance this location was attacked specifically because it's a gay club.
