Really weather channel????? Gee if storms like this were coming through Atlanta you would have 10 people on it and having on the air instead of these stupid shows. Sad indeed.

Very little weather and no music.

That cell has been dumping some serious rain east of Jeanerette.

Agreed. If this was in Texas or Atlanta they would be all over it. The weather channel used to be worth a shite about 15 years ago. Just wait till these storms get close to Georgia .....

Anyone know if there were any reported injuries with this one?
Posted on 4/30/16 at 1:11 pm to dukke v
I don't have the fancy apps that Duke and others have, and I doubt anyone cares due to the location, but it look like there is some pretty significant, but broad, rotation immediately to the west of Marsh Island.

Unlikely that it was ever on the ground. Only radar indicated.

I don't have any fancy apps. Just following the radar just like you. St Mary parish is fixing to get ripped. Baton Rouge will just get a few mins of hard rain.

These are some slow moving storms.. The one hitting Baton Rouge has been close for an hour and finally getting here
Posted on 4/30/16 at 1:33 pm to tigercraig
If you live in BR you should be getting pounded right now. Should last about 20 mins. Then it willclear up nicely.

Currently 4 areas of rotation around kentwood/osyka all different warnings. Serious shite.
Posted on 4/30/16 at 1:45 pm to ToulatownTiger
Looks like the furthest one east is the worst.

What's the website that shows you the exact tornado warning area?
EBR is now under tornado warning, but I wanna see exactly what part of the parish.

Velocity showing something just south of Walker.

It's over to the far East, like Jones Creek around I12 heading towards Denham.
Not intense, but definitely a tornado on radar.
