One of my husband's friends uses his ALL the time and posts the pics on fb.
I don't own one fwiw...but I could see it being cool to have on certain trips.

Girlfriends brother just got back from Dominican and people at the resort had them. He said he thought they would be stupid but by the time the trip was over everyone with them wound up getting one when they got back. I'm not a selfie or picture person but it seems like it would be convenient for trips, especially our honeymoon. I wanna talk to as few people as possible while we are there.

Is it nice to have plugged into a dock and be able to just remotely click it on..??? Can I click it on record for video, or only a still photo??

Photo and video. Comes with a remote, tripod and extendable stick for pics or video.

I bought a few for some women house inspectors that work for me. They don't have to photograph roofs often but when they did I would have to go do it for them. I bought the selfie stick instead so they could just stand on the ground and snap the pics.

Selfie sticks are everywhere in europe. Seems to have exploded in last 6 months. Used to just be Asian tourists, now every tourist has one it seems. They are also called narcissisticks.
