In lieu of walking 24 miles inside of Disney during my recent trip, I used Uber with a debit card. Boy, did I get screwed.

Doesn't seem like we are getting the full story here. You put in your destination before you even get in an Uber car. How can they legitimately try to charge you for a different destination?

Idk how it works. My brother requested the Uber and shared the fee with us. I accepted. Guy drops us off we go to sleep and woke up with huge bill and map where he guy drove 60 miles on us. Some posters earlier said they always make them hit "end trip" when they get out the car. I was not that Uber savvy

This has probably already been suggested, but do you have a receipt fron the campground that evening showing that's where you spent the night? And does address the driver claims to have brought you to even remotely look like a place an out of towner would stay?

Uber has reduced the bill to $13 but I'm still not just gonna accept it. Still communicating with them and still gonna dispute the charge.

They have lowered it four times after saying they couldn't do anyThing. It's all a scam. Idk what the proper amount is so that should justify my fraud claim

I thought you said the initial estimated fare was $22?

It no longer has anything to do with money. They pissed me off. They were going to willingly steal had I not pushed the issue. I also want that driver fired.

I think tgrbaitn is a large shareholder in Uber only way to explain the amount of extreme arse hurt he has going on.

Either that or he was butt fricked by an Uber driver one time and is overcompensating

They are basically the same as dealing with a technical support person from India that can barely speak English.

I had a dispute a few months ago with them and it took a back and forth of around 4 times before they knew what I was getting at.

Get a friend to request him as a driver. Be waiting at said pick up spot. You should know what to do from there.

Just saw this. Not reading the 11 pages. Has anyone said to make a claim with the credit card company? Would that even be effective? I would try it at least. I'd let visa know that a fraudulent charge was made on my account.

121 isn't almost 400. By that math I'm make almost a million dollars a year.

Wrong, but keep editing until you are happy. All transactions with visa/Mastercard go through interchange and are governed by their system first, then institutional control. I am done with the his, good luck with this and get your money back.
