Satellite time lapse from 1984 to present (anywhere in the world)

Pretty fascinating...

Click this, then click "explore the world", then enter your city or wherever you want

Also very marked changes in the suggested links, such as Las Vegas.

Really cool. Mendenhall Glacier in my city has retreated two miles.

Biloxi

Can anyone see a decline in 2005, then a build back up in 2006 on?

depends when the images were taken. its not a straight through timeline with no stops. might be a year between some images

I was living in Vegas for a while in the 80's, then moved out here again just before Katrina. I'd seen for myself how much the valley has changed but I'm still shocked when I see how much Lake Mead and surrounding waterways have dried up.

Pan out and watch, as Vegas grows, Lake Meade shrinks.

That was pretty cool. I was actually working at one of the featured locations, the Oil Sands, last summer.

Great website, thanks.

A&E, Discovery, I forget which, had an great bio on Vegas and addressed the whole Colorado River fiasco, water meter maids working all night, Cali, Colo,Tex, NM, Az, etc..fight for the limited water supply and what the future holds.
