Best move Hogs could have made is escaping that area.

My neighbor works for the city and has told me its 1 inch the first hour and half an inch every additional hour

They took all the compacts and subcompacts out. There are still a few Navigators remaining to be pulled out.

Even if GNR shows up, there’s a decent chance they play 20 minutes then Axl walks out in a snit.

So they are admitting it's the first time in history they have done their job successfully

I’m sure the implication is that the problem was Mitch The Bitch and Willy Nagin, not the SWB themselves.

Tomorrow will be a shitshow.
You mean no different than any other day in Nola?
Baw, you’ve got boat so no problem! Paddle over to Henry’s and pick me up, okay?

they announce this at the end of every hurricane season, it isnt true but they lie and say it is, because hurricane season is over so they wont have to turn all the pumps on until next year and then lie about they just now broke down today

what's the status on storm drain cleaning?

Yeah, that's it. Smack-talk Mother Nature some more. Bold strategy.
ETA: I didn't even know you guys were scheduled to catch some rain tomorrow. Good luck.

Its better than not doing the absolute minimum, lying about it, and then blaming climate change for a decade of neglect when you get caught.

This is a major milestone for our utility, the first time all drainage pumps have been available in recent history,
Can the taxpayers get a total refund for every dollar spent in recent memory then?

In case you haven't noticed, the last 5 or 6 major rain events that have caused some heavy street flooding in Nola has been from normal thunderstorms and not related to hurricanes.
I'm still convinced that some of the new underground major projects have cause some secondary issues that are causing downtown to flood worse for some reason.
