The guy w/o a gun was backing away... guy w/ a gun still shot him. That has nothing to do w/ stand your ground laws.
The guy with the gun was standing his ground. The guy without the gun didn't have any ground to stand regardless of how far he ran. And why would it matter where he shot him? You can stand your ground in someone's chest just as easily as you can stand your ground in their back. Legal shooting no doubt.

Murder is a bit much considering Gonzalez followed the man home and approached him on his property. Manslaughter all the way
They usually overcharge and plea down... he'll prob get manslaughter and maybe a couple of years. Or he might end up with probation... never know w/ this fricked up system.

+1
He'll get manslaughter and serve 5-6 years. Possibly get early payroll if he survives

Sounds like Gonzalez shouldn't have followed Doyle to his house.
From the facts in the story, I wouldn't charge Doyle with murder.
this!....Gonzales asked for it...he shouldn't have followed Doyle to this house...

Congrats on being the first douche to make this racial.
This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with ground and standing it.

This is why if you ever find yourself facing some dude with road rage, you get you and your family away from them as fast as you can.

Gonzales brought it on himself. After a road rage incident, his first instinct was to follow the guy to his house, pull in his driveway, and then go after him. I wouldn't have shot the guy unless he had a gun, but I certainly would've beat him half to death.
Doyle screwed himself and got charged because of one sentence. I bet he regrets saying that. Charges aren't gonna get dropped, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't convicted based on the fact that he feared for his and his wife's life. A good lawyer can win that case pretty easily.
I had a buddy in a similar situation, but the road raged guy behind him was ramming his truck. He followed my buddy to his house and went after him and his gf. My buddy beat him with a baseball bat, and the guy ended up going into a coma and died a month later. He had a wife and three kids too.
My buddy wasn't ever charged with anything because of the damage to his truck and the fact that the guy came to his house. The wife tried to sue, but ended up losing.

And cause more road rage? Nah that's just feeding the vicious cycle. What you should do is find yourself some ground and you stand the shite out of it.

So what you are telling me is that if someone in Florida threatens you and runs away you can unload on him in the back killing him and call it a "justified" killing?
You learn something new every day.

Well considering Doyle is facing a Murder 2 charge, I'd say that statement/witness is pretty credible. Unless you've got some facts that refute what the police on the scene found.
Perhaps. I just stated my opinion based on the facts in the OP.
Besides, being charged with a crime doesn't mean you are guilty.

Way to take my words out of context bro. I said if you're standing your ground then you can do that, only if there's ground involved and only if you're standing it.
Hell if you stand your ground hard enough you could get in a road rage and kidnap someone and take them back to your rape dungeon. The law is pretty clear.

yea I was confused how Doyle was followed by Gonzalez to his personal property and threatened. Doyle was just protecting himself. Gonzalez was trying to act like a badass in front of his wife.
We have a witness that says Gonzales was backing away when he was first shot and we have the cops saying he has three entry wounds in his back.
Sorry but Doyle wasn't protecting himself at all if either of these things are true.
