Anyone do this recently? Did you buy the tank yourself and then have someone put it in? Any recommendations on where to get the tanks or who can install it in or around BR? Also how much am I looking to spend including the tank? I am looking to get a regular gas water heater installed, not the instant hot water ones.

fixed i think...

take your phone up in the attic or wherever your current water heater is located - take pictures of the connections and size of current heater - go to your local big box store - home depot or lowes - take phone to a female salesman in the appliance department and show pics of your phone. She will guide you through this dramatic experience and suggest a purchase - easy peasy.

Depending on size it will cost you anywhere from $500 to $1200 to replace.

That's heater and parts for a DIY job to having a pro do it.

OT poor brah. Get an on-demand system like us rich OT'ers

It's easier than you think to replace it, just make sure you drain the water first before doing so.

It'll run you around 600 or so plus 2 hrs for your average weekend warrior. Make sure your vent stack is on properly too.
