Red light camera tickets

Does anybody know anything about them? I just got one in the mail today and it had pictures and a link to a video but it was from August 2014. The video clearly shows my car with my license plate and a rolling stop as the light turned red. I asked around and I'm hearing different things, like it isn't valid unless you can definitely tell that it is you driving, etc. One of my friends swears he has gotten 3 and has never responded to them and nothing has ever happened. Anybody know anything about how valid they are or how to get out of them without having to take a day off of work to sit in court to try to fight it? Thanks in advance.

Don't pay it. Let it hit your credit report.
Call them and threaten to take legal action as you never agreed to enter a financial agreement with them.
It drops off...really quickly.

I have never paid any of mine. I have gotten 3 or 4 for speeding. It's never gone on my credit report, and Lafayette Gov tried to pass that as a law or something to threaten people. If it isn't given to me by a cop, I am not paying for it.

Throw in trash. Do not pay. Ignore all future correspondence regarding this. They will try hard to get your money. And i would too, cause there are a whole lot of dummies that will pay.

Unconstitutional in Missouri. There's no way they'll order a warrant or put a hold on your license based on a photo of your rear fender.

Mine never even hit my credit report. And I've renewed my license since then, no problems (no unpaid infractions on my record).

I throw them away and back my truck really close to the car behind me when I go to the city

It can hit your credit report. I got two speeding in Baker 2 years ago. I am about to build a house so I checked my credit at all 3 credit reporting 2 months ago and both tickets showed up as collections on TransUnion. I disputed and they've re off in 30 days.

I got one in the mail a year or two ago and never paid in BR.
They have sent a few letters and I have gotten two phone messages on my land line (yes that's why you keep a land line) from an attorney in TX who I am sure takes the unpaid tickets and tries to collect (in vain).
Should it hit my credit report I will dispute and they will not be able to validate the debt and it will go away.
Of course I have the money to pay but it is the principle of the matter. If the city is going to make it that easy for them to blast out "tickets" and avoid all forms of due process they're going to have to work for the money... F 'em....

Take a picture of the money and mail the pic to them.
