5. If unpaid fine goes on your credit report, simply dispute online with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Ask them to investigate and validate the debt owed. ATS and RedFlex must provide proof that you entered into an agreement for goods or services or signed promissory note.

This sounds great and will probably work but it's going to take a couple months before it ever comes off your report.

You'll probably find out about it when trying to purchase house or car so you won't have months to wait.

They have threatened to send to collection agency.

They won't.

The worst that can happen is that they'll tow your car if they spot your license plate somewhere.

They won't.

I have 2 in Laffy. They reported me to collections. Some law firm out of Ohio. I sent them a request for proof of debit, proof that they own the debit, and proof that they are allowed to collect the debt in the state of Louisiana (all of these forms are online). They sent me:

"Per your request:"

It was a copy of the original violation.

I sent them a cease and desist letter stating to take me to court or leave me alone. I haven't heard from them again. Nothing on my credit report. Its been 4 years for one, and 2 years for the other.

I got a school zone speeding ticket in January on a day that schools were closed because of freezing temperatures. My wife is a lawyer and wrote them a letter along with proof that schools were in fact closed. They said too bad I still owed the money. It's all a money making scheme and I'll never pay it. Ironically my credit score has been on the rise since they threatened to turn it over to collections

Hit my wife's credit, found out when we were setting up a HELOC

I believe this because they somehow got my new address after running a redlight.

I moved to B.R years ago & had NOT changed my address on my drivers license nor was my vehicle registered in Baton Rouge(nor East Baton Rouge Parish).

A few weeks later I got this $117 dollar ticket at the new address & wondered how the he'll did they find me?

1)I figured they must have pulled my credit score & linked the addresses Or

2) They used a combination of police background check & credit report that I filled out for my new lease.

I don't know ,but they found me despite my vehicle not being registered at this new address nor my license being changed.

I'm intrigued by these people claiming 'nothing happened'. They found me at a completely new address somehow.

I was passing in front of UL one evening and saw the bright flashes as I was speeding. Thought for sure I'd be receiving the bill in the mail. Been a year now and nothing.

I'm in TX, the state is not allowing any municipality that has the cameras to renew contracts with the operator/biller, and it is on the slate for the next legislative session to be permanently banned, easily contested and thrown out or forgiven here because of the pushback, too many pols ticketed probably

Absolutely nothing. I've had several and they just go straight in the trash. I'm in Lafayette and they even threatened to take me to court. frick them.

Those fricking things are unconstitutional and I will never pay one. Ever.

ETA: I've checked my credit reports and there is nothing there about the tickets. It's all bullshite.

Okay. But Yellowfin says his wifes credit was damaged because of these tickets.

I was sent a ticket without an established address (never changed my license) nor vehicle registered in the parish.

Don't they normally send these tickets to the address of vehicle registration or license?

They found me somehow or simply 'fished' for & mailed tickets to every Sugar 71 in the city/Parish?
