Homes aren't even lasting a week on the market. Many going within 48 hours.......this is fricking insane.

The Exxon injection is so fricking up pricing. In 5 years people will have over valued property.

I'm irritated because we are looking at a couple areas for a January purchase but frick going upside down.

Just creating more opportunities for UAL flight attendants to buy executive mansions at foreclosure the next time the oilfield goes bust.

Nope.....the school services we have are unmatched.

If it weren't for CISD, we'd definitely look at other places.

Eta: if the oilfield blows up, it'd be a true shite storm here. Granted the ultra wealthy Mexican naturals would still keep coming.

One of our neighbors put house up on market (Katy) and it was on for 9 hours. Guy sold after 3-4 different buyers bid each other to $4000 over list.

yep, and it's happened before, I forget what the term for all of the empty skyscrapers was, but you could get those pretty cheap too, and I'm not kidding about those McMansions being bought at garage sale prices, it was tough around there in the '80's

I think there are actually a decent number of districts that have schools with comparable SAT Medians as the schools in the Woodlands. Houston's outlying areas, not to mention Bellaire and Memorial, even Stratford, all do very well.

Maybe,- maybe not

But this is what shovel ready jobs look like and how they impact communities

It's like that here in Wake County now

Houses are going for more than asking price.

Land Development is behind the 8 ball because of "Too big to fail"...builders were too cautious, now things are kicking in certain areas and boom, we're going see spikes in values... Not necessarily good long term

But if you need to buy a house, better jump in quick

If you live in Detroit, you have our sympathies

Not much better in parts of DFW, especially since Toyota is moving to Plano.

They don't even go on the market here for the most part, it's all realtors word of mouth. They are having bidding wars here for goodness sake, crazy!

hell no, especially in TX, eventually this will be another "flipping houses" show, except it will be the "flipping McMansions" version
