Rationally, it is probably time for LSU to do away with a live tiger

The tiger will never attend another game.
The habitat is nice, but it is still a habitat.
Eventually, the pressure will get to LSU and those in power will give in to the SJW's (as Ringing Brothers did when they stopped having elephants, which immediately resulted in a significant drop in attendance). So, why have a cub now?
Personally, I enjoy seeing Mike. But, the reality is different. Live mascots (other than domesticated animals) are going to be non-existent within two or three years.

Because there is no political or ideological gain to be had in doing so with the gas station tiger.
LSU, on the other hand, is a ripe target for animal rights advocates.
I never thought I'd see Ringling Brothers drop elephants (which in turn was a big factor in that circus shutting down). It is the times we are in.
