I was honestly wondering if it was gay hookup site.
The list I saw had like 5 women on it.

Well a hole is a hole

I heard that there were more women than those statistics reflect. Women were given the ability to message to and extent without paying so they don't show up on the hacked paid lists.

Was anyone actually hooking up on this site? Those ratios are absurd.

Kind of off-topic, but: a man I know who is registered on he site told me that when you register for the site you are charged $20. Then you can buy buckets of coins - each bucket is $50 - you use the coins to send email messages to people you are interested in hooking up with. If you spend $250 without having anyone agree to a hook-up; you get your money back, or credited to your account.
Soooo, these people that are down for spending thousands, were getting a lot of strange.
I have been out of the loop and didn't know of this AM crap until this past weekend when the lists were published and people started having collective shite fits over the names.
Also, is there any validity to those to these "my identity was stolen" defenses??

I can't wait for the attorneys to start deposing all the people that formatted and published the data! There are some pissed off attorneys involved in this mess.
My buds have a betting pool going on when the first AM class action lawsuit commercial hits the air. Right now the set air date is September 5th.
There is talk that the guy in Monroe, LA that formatted and published the data on his web page will be formally charged with possession and distribution of stolen goods...not sure who will be doing the arresting..state, local, federal.

Some men are stupid. Tinder and other hookup sites are free and while their ratios still suck balls, its a hellova lot better than that.

I'll wager it won't happen:

I'm your huckleberry....the Monroe guy really screwed up with the handling of the data.
He formatted and published it...put his business information and personal name on the spreadsheet and posted the link on his business web page.
The guys impacted by his list are some powerful people that are out for revenge.

The bet is this:
He will be arrested by September 30th.
Loser pays $100 to winner's favorite charity
.
Fair?

I was wondering if Ashley Madison paid hookers to do the deed with these affair guarantees.
Posted on 8/26/15 at 7:11 pm to TheWalrus
I thought they were paying hookers too. But from what I was told, they hook up with others on the site, and the money goes to AM as a fee. i have heard that some of these guys have 3, 4, 6 thousand dollars worth of charges - if my source is to be trusted, those amounts can buy a lot of action on AM.

But how are they meeting the male demands with that absurd ratio? I'm guessing most never hooked up and not everyone who got the guarantee bothered to ask for their money back out of embarrassment.

Ashley Madison was around waaaaay before "apps" were... and you didn't have to worry abt your SO finding it on your phone or phone bill.

I had seen CNN report that the number of women enrolled would essentially double after every Valentines Day and Mothers Day

Women don't necessarily have to pay. If they sign up for free they can't search the site and solicit hook-ups. If they pay then they can initiate the meetings. Basically, pay = hunter, free = hunted.
