I had heard it was Fornication Under Consent of the King. Never believed that because it wouldn't make any sense. Not sure I buy the other one, either.

Within the last month I was told it was a term derived from a farming practice. The man would walk the row with a stick and poke it into the wet dirt to make a hole and the woman would follow behind and put a seed in the hole. The sound the stick made coming out of the hole literally went "frick".

One thing led to another, poking sticks in holes and leaving seed, and boom, the word frick was invented.
