Oh I have mixed benzos thousands of times, no exaggeration since I have taken xanax every day for 16 years, but I have never forgotten that I have taken them since I take the same amount every day and it's so low I know I am good. .25mh twice a day never going up or down with a 16 year tolerance.

Local news was talking about how nicotine is ten times harder to get off than heroin. Those people saying that must have been blitzed out of their dome

They always say that and its BS. I have never taken heroin but I have quit oxy and smoking and if heroin is as hard to quit as oxy, I assume it is way harder, then it's a joke to compare the two and dangerous to say quitting nicotine is harder.

Yes. For real. I have no idea why anyone would use chantix. Just ween yourself off the nicotine

I agree. I take between 5 and 10 mg of Xanax when I fly. IK I am s vag for having panic attacks on planes. It is my loss of control and being trapped that get me. My key to success is my absolute addiction fear. One I traveled 6 days in a row and felt it coming. Called my boss and said I had to drive home this one time. He was cool and understanding. I laid off for a month and was good. Make no mistake the addiction is real but you can feel it coming.

Anybody have thoughts on Clonazepam? Have been taking .5 mg when I get anxiety. I never take more than one a day and rarely take it more than two days in a row.

Should I have any concerns?

Ativan is great to come down off of blow and go to sleep. Dipping is stupid and causes cancer. No idea.

Do you crave it? My wake up call was my impatience to wait a day to fly. I wanted to go a day early bad.. Finally I figured I was craving the meds. I had a buddy who had a hernia surgery and was waking up every 4 hours after two weeks to take his Loratab. He knew he was in trouble and went cold turkey flushing the meds away. Said it was a rough two days following.

Just be careful and respect the drug for what it is... "A drug"

.5mg Klonopin seems like a small dose. It's a little bit more long acting than Xanax so probably a little safer from being abused. I've taken them and they really seemed to help and do what intended for.

But if .5 helps then by all means stay there and get through what you need to get through and try to kick them. I think I was on 2mg a day or twice a day.

Good luck and get well Godspeed. Good vibes

Is this right? I thought my flight dosage was high - 3mg for most flights, 5 mg for cross country or international.

If taken correctly it can do wonders. Depending on your habits I would reconsider. You're obviously an addict as is, so why replace one drug with another. Benzos is nothing to play around with. Chantix is also just anti-pyscohtic tweaked to reduce the urge of smoking. Just like they are marketing adderall to help with weight loss. The side affects of these drugs are absurd. If you look into chantix or benzos they have some serious effects to your brain chemistry. Which are not worth the risk to kick one habit. There are many ways around kicking nicotine than replacing it with a heay drug. You obviously are prone to addiction and benzos aren't easy to kick either. I am a former drug user of benzos and opiates. My advice is to suck it up and go cold turkey. Replace your nasty habit with a healthy one. It will only last a little while rather than being dependent on another substance for years. Let me know if I can help. Good luck

ETA: I am a smoker and dipper of many years and have tried many routes. Do not do anything without consideration of short and long term effects.

No one is taking 2 and a half xan bars to fly unless they take them oftenc have a high tolerance, and STILL trying to get blitzes.

.5mg is the usually dose dor that

I love these threads

Thanks. I've just had undiagnosed anxiety since high school. Just recently started taking these and it helps soooooooooo much. Just wish I would've started taking them earlier.

I take 1mg of Xanax every night for sleep. I don't fly often but when I do it requires 2 mg just to get me to the airport. 3 usually helps me sleep the entire way. It took 6 to get me to Moscow through Atlanta.

I asked if 5-10mg was what he meant to say bc my dosage is pretty crazy high and I've never heard of anyone taking more than me.

.5 mg does nothing for me.

I don't smoke and never have but I don't equate people addicted to nicotine as being prone to addiction and then in turn letting it cross over to drugs. Not like being addicted to coke, usuing benzos to get off and then getting hooked on benzos. I just find it a little different.

Put it this way? When you are an addict docs try to write you Jo narcotics. Telling them you smoke will not bring pause to a doc from writing you narcos

YA! Like I said I have taken my dose for 16 years and never abused it but I think if I took that much at once I would lose 2-3 days of memory.

This is actually why I'm asking. I took 3 mg recently to go to San Diego and remembered nothing else that happened that day. I don't drink or take anything else while on Xanax and flying but that scared the crap out of me. Friends with me said I behaved perfectly normally but I couldn't remember anything after the airport.

I'm going back down to 2 mg unless/until I have a panic attack next time.
