Fishing in Santa Rosa- need advice

Leaving for family trip on Friday and want to try ad do some surf fishing. We are staying in Blue Mt Beach and not sure what to fish for or what to use. Im only used to fishing out of coco and fourchon. Do they have pompano this time of year? I also know they have few brackish lakes inland as well....

Forgot too mention. Had a buddy that grew up on kleiner street here in Baton Rouge at 100 hundred oaks. The whole family recalls an older lady that would walk around and lock the doors and also run the dishwasher. The kids also remember the older lady watching over them while they slept. ...
