I may be relocating to NE LA and I am interested in livable areas. Some people say Sterlington is a growing area. Any of you have any input?

IBM and Centurylink are expanding in the area. They're about to put river ranch-lite there.
Houses/apartments are coming up like crazy.

Sterlington is certainly a bright spot in NELA.

It does have the ugliest elementary school in the world though

Sterlington is definitely growing, and if you are going to be working at CenturyLink/IBM it's close. Same with Swartz. If you work in town try River Oaks or Garen District area, living 2 min away from work is worth it.

I personally wouldn't go to West Monroe unless that is where you are going to work. It's suburbia so nothing special, and if you commute everyday to Monroe the traffic will get old fast.

Hi....

this is Tommy Tucker and I want to talk to you about the maids....

The maids were created by a person who had made millions of dollars, that didn't need to work another day in his life. But, he knew that he had to give something back. And, that the best way to do it was by starting a company who's business it was to make sure you came home after a long day at work to a spotless home.

The maids go through a 22 point inspection process that includes everything from the oven, to your bathrooms, from the garage to your medicine cabinet.

I came home after a long day of being on the air last week seeing that the maids had organized my medicine cabinet for me. Now, the maids don't necessarily have to go through your medicine cabinet. But if you want them to, they will.

Back in a flash. 270-1870

The road to Bastrop is ok too. Give it a drive.
Or check out Calhoun.

I love Ruston but I don't get this. Who would want to spend such a big chunk of their day in the car unnecessarily?

Don't do this unless you want to commute an hour. Hour and half if you're working in the centry link area. If you're young I would say Monroe area around ULM or the new Centry Link developments. If older outside of West Monroe towards Calhoun.

Live in North Monroe or Sterlington if you're working on the east side of the river, the commute over the river gets old fast.

Monroe is a hidden gem. North Monroe has an old school Mayberry feel. You'll know everyone, and everyone watches out for each other's kids. Good schools, world class hunting/fishing, and a growing economy. Centurylink is Louisiana's largest company by a lot, $60 billion. IBM is building a tech park with them. Graphic packaging is building a new $26 million plant. Not a bad place to live at all.

If you have kids and a 25 minute commute on I-20 doesn't scare you, Choudrant is nice.

Meant North Monroe area out towards the college in the nicer areas. Should have been more specific.
