Isn't that the case for most advice given on the OT?

63 you both can't claim the same kid. Whoever files first will get the return. If she claims him and you can prove it via school records(home address, etc.)that he lived with you for over 6 months you can file a 1040x and you will get the tax return. I had to do this with my ex.

There is a lot more shady stuff going on a lot more. I need a top notch lawyer that is not afraid to garner a lot of publicity. Heads should roll when the truth is told

Well it seems as if I gave some pretty sound advice.

Also I'm not stuck paying child support to some winch that I signed my life over to saying 'I do', sounds like I know what I'm doing in this matter Baw.

Dammit at least we ain't gonna be 52 raising a teenager if and when you decide to have a kid.

I ain't hating on you saint, smart move on the marriage part for you though.

So I assume she has custody by the court, but the kid is residing with you?

You probably need to go to the court showing documentation showing you've been providing for the kid & she hasn't seen the kid in over a year.

ETA: sorry I misread saying you went to court, I'd get new representation and try again

Your ex is doing the butt-crack shuffle on the judge's lap extension. She has learned a lot of tricks since y'all split up and is using them to keep this judge from ruling.

You may want to get back with her to experience her new repertoire. It may change your life. You won't mind her lazy eye and limp anymore.

Good luck

Yes. But sadly it's deadbeats dads' fault. A man used to be able to ditch his family completely with no consequences. Women had very little power or means to collect support.

The system sucks balls for sure in some aspects. My biggest gripe is the lack of common sense when a woman remarries someone making 3 times your salary.
The whole concept of creating similar lifestyles at both parents' houses is tossed out the window.
They live in God damn mansion and have a camp and boat and go to Disney every year.

At my house we go to blue Bayou and all the kids share a bedroom in a condo. ah well. They love daddy alot. All that matters
