How many accidents have you caused?

You probably are one of those who speeds up so the ambulance can't pass you up.

About 30, but I saved one life, so it's all worth it.

I've saved five. 6 if one of them counts both times I did it.

How does pulling over for an oncoming ambulance in the opposite flow of traffic when it's already not blocked going to help it get to it's destination any faster?

It's stupid.

Because you're assuming it's not blocked when in reality there are people just as stupid and inconsiderate as you in that far lane. Pull to the side / slow down no matter the situation. You can't predict where the ambulance is going or what the people around it will do.

People in ambulances are also there for a reason and time to wait on bad drivers around them isn't something they have a lot of

Who gives a shite? If he got one ambulance to its destination sooner, then it's worth a thousand accidents.

When an ambulance is going the same direction I am I pull over, get behind them, and floor it. Pass up all those mofos.

If it's a fully divided road, you aren't required to stop and yield to the right.

Any other time, you must do so when there is an emergency vehicle approaching either in front or behind.

You're breaking the law, the people yielding aren't.

if the road is divided you don't stop. when not devided, stop so the vehicle can turn left or go in both lanes to avoid others.

If you're on a two lane you should cause most of the time on those roads there's no room for cars to pull completely to the right.

this... its really not that hard to comprehend. Many 2 lane roads in Louisiana have ditches on both sides, therefore its impossible to get completely out of the lane. If cars in the opposite direction don't pull over you are creating an even more dangerous situation for you, the ambulance, and the person they are trying to help.

OP is actually doing pretty well, considering the number of people that don't pull over when an ambulance is approaching from behind them.

Worse still are the people that just come to a dead stop in whatever lane they happen to be in, and, even worse yet, are those that pull over...to the left. God I hate those people.

Why the frick do people do this?
Maybe the Ambulance is turning left?

Maybe the ambulance needs to use a portion of your lane to go around a car in front of him?
