The euphoria and hallucinations induced from eating Psilocybe “magic mushrooms” have earned the fungi a cult following. Sandoz chemist Albert Hofmann isolated and determined the structure of psilocybin, the main ingredient in mushrooms that leads to the psychedelic effects, nearly 60 years ago. That discovery and subsequent mind-altering experiments by Harvard University psychologist Timothy F. Leary have left scientists longing to develop a large-scale synthesis of the compound for medical uses, which include treating anxiety and depression in terminal cancer patients and treating nicotine addiction. Yet no one has been able to unravel the enzymatic pathway the mushrooms use to make psilocybin, until now.

You sure the ones pictured are the right ones?

the ones in the south have purple rings around the stem and a purple halo on the top.

Or so I've heard.

I'm not a mycologist but I do know that there are several varieties of psilocybin containing mushrooms that are consumed for more than just their taste.

Nice. Would I try it? I don't know I'm pretty excited about the possibilities of pizza both with cheese and sometimes pepperoni you know those pepperoni dog treat at the store they're always in the same aisle as the cleaning supplies which is Wierd when you think about the bleach in cleaning supplies cleans both your clothes and your toilet but it makes the clothes super white until you drip toothpaste on them which was frustrating because I has to go out that night but luckily I have another shirt in my closet so I changed my mind about that suit usually im a pinstriped guy but I could go for Navy. I think I like navy more than army because I've always like being on boats especially when fishing which is weird because like have you ever thought about how weird it would be to bite into a cheeseburger and then get pulled under water but then like get thrown into a giant ice chest for later? Like have you ever thought abojt how fricked up a fishes life is? Yeah I'd probably try those. Dude how fricking weird are my hands right now? Cool poster.

Slightly less of a square. But natural is always better in my humble opinion.

But I guess the real thing is getting there, the route is less important. I don't trust folks who never tripped.

Mushrooms just lasted way too long and took me way too deep. I never found acid it was like that though
