anyone who has watched the protests can see that the cops there are crooked as frick and have no respect for the constitution whatsoever (arresting journalists and attempting to corral them into fake "journalist zones

Just like anyone could see this unrest was driven in large part by the media and provocative "journalists" who were there to start shite for a carefully edited iphone video and a story, and who didn't give two fricks about Mike Brown or the Black community in Ferguson.

And your answer to solve the issue is what?

When did I say I had an answer to solve this issue?

Oh, I knew I was going to get downvoted when I posted that, but I'll still post my opinion no matter how unpopular it might be.

The reason I don't think it's very funny is because she is protesting about how ineffective, backwards, and unreliable the police are in Ferguson, and then her car gets stolen... so she can't rely on the police she was protesting against for being unreliable in the first place... that's supposed to be funny?

I'm not talking about those idiots. I'm talking about legitimate news sources like the Washington Post reporters who were arrested while eating at McDonald's.

Like I said, I don't give a shite about Michael Brown. I don't have an opinion one way or another about his innocence. When the original protests were started, I watched hours of live footage (stuff that can't be faked or edited) because I work a night shift schedule at a work-from-home job and just threw it up on one of my monitors as I worked. I saw enough egregious violations of the constitution to know that the cops in Ferguson are crooked as frick. Doesn't matter if the majority of the population in Ferguson are thug pieces of shite or not. The constitution is the constitution and it should be upheld by all of those who work for the police. Downvote me for it if you want, I don't care.

I completely agree with you in original content philosophical plain meaning theory, but how much have you studied the evolution of the constitution in the court system and the systematic enlargement of the executive branch's powers specifically law enforcement?

Twitter handle @chicanapoet1 really is falsely alluring.

If truth in advertising standards were in force it would be @disgusting.

The point I like to make in this kind of discussion is "you get what you pay for". LEO jobs aren't the highest paying jobs in America. These guys probably graduated in the lower half of the class some being thugs and bullies in their younger years. They learned very little about the constitution in school and almost nothing after. They have never faced a situation like this before. They are faced with trying to control a crowd by any means available.

I'm not making excuses. I am a strict constitutionalist ... but I am a realist too. I have many friends in law enforcement and drew my description from them. In a case such as this the offenders should be dealt with after the fact but it is an unreal expectation of them to work within laws they don't even know.

The only solution I have ever been able to come up with is to pay more taxes to hire and train people with higher I.O.s that have passed testing on local, state, and federal laws.
