My wife was on bedrest for 2 months, had a circlage (stich the cirvix closed), then was admitted to the hospital with multiple daily checkups.

One day we were told it was cool for me to travel to NOLA for my business meeting. Next day I got a call to turn around the kids were coming that day.

Kids were delevered early but healthy. Son spent one week in NICU, daughter spent 2 weeks in NICU. Wife was released after one week (C-section).

We had twins, first delivery for my wife. We were at Women's Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Both kids are very happy and healthy today. Things will be OK, just listen to the Doctors.

They were talking about home bedrest for us. If they conditions are bad enough they will do it in hospital, but usually if they are that bad, they just get the baby out. I don't let Mrs Dam Guide do much right now, so she doesn't get worse. She is not a happy camper, she is pretty active all the time.

My wife was diagnosed with it at 20 weeks.... 3 weeks later she was admitted and our baby was delivered a few days later at 24 weeks weighing 16 ounces... Her condition can rapidly decline so it's important that she's forthcoming with how she's feeling. At 31 weeks, y'all should be good to go from a premature delivery aspect with are relative minimum stay (few weeks) in the nicu if they have to deliver.

My wife's BP jumped up to 210/120 quick as her organs were showing signs of failure. Make sure the doctors give her the celestone to promote lung development in the baby. My little stayed in the NICU for 5 months and required oxygen even after we were discharged. We were at Woman's here in Baton Rouge, it's a great place to say the least.

My wife was diagnosed with it this last pregnancy. My MIL had a BP monitor for her to use. We went in for a check up because of headaches and BP bouncing around. At the doct appointment, my wife starte having contractions every 2 mins. This was at 32 weeks. We were in the hospital for about 30 hours. She felt like full labor before they gave her that shot. Once the contractions stopped, we went home. She got them repeatedly until she was induced at 38 weeks. Started going to the doctor 2-3 days a week. Women's hospital was awesome.


My boy was borned 07/08/2014. The last 24 hours was very stressful.

FYI. If you are at Woman's in BTR, it is widely considered one of the finest facilities in the U.S. Seriously.

They fly babies into the place for certain conditions.

Be prepared for the call...and chances are they won't induce labor, they'll go right in and do the C-section and have done with it. Get the baby into NICU and begin monitoring Mrs. Sheep to ensure she heals/returns to normal.

Mrs. was diagnosed, had ours at 8 weeks early, but with her being a diabetic, he was 3'15 oz. already. But her pressure had spiked like others have mentioned. Hang in there Sheep and be ready.

Noone will be able to give you an accurate time frame. It all depends on how wifeys body reacts. Docs will leave it in as long as there is no distress.

Mrs. went for a non-stress test scheduled for 10:00, I got the call about 10:45 from my MIL, in tears and scared to death: "you'd better be here in a half hour or less, or you'll miss it." They were taking her pressure in the non-stress test, turning off the machine so she wouldn't see her pressure and panic.

Yep. We were told to settle in at the hospital - it'll be another week or so. 10 minutes later they popped in and said, "suit up, you're having a baby in 30 mins."

She needs rest. Don't stress her out. Prayers to you and her.
