One of the more unfortunate aspects of my job is that I must occasionally deal with select members of the public.
One of those groups happen to be those who have churches.
They are always looking for a handout, always trying to steal from our warehouse, and always trying to get things for personal use on the church dime.
Some guy just tried to buy all of the apple computers the guys have on hand, a generac portable diesel generator, work out equipment, and a few very under priced pieces of used commercial kitchen equipment.
When I asked why a church would need any of it, he became very defensive and then began justifying the theft from his parishioners.
I can't be the only one disgusted by this. I'm not even religious and this shite grinds my gears.
That was a poor attempt at a story. Even poorer if you were trying to make a point.
Poor assemblies of words are, indeed, trashy.

Preachers are garbage. This is the house of one of the stars of "Preachers of LA". A Kardisian-esque reality show about rich arse preachers.

Buddy of mine built a common living complex for the Cathloc church. When he finished, Father, or whatever he is called, asked him if he did this for the Lord. Lol. He laughed and told him he has to feed his kids, and handed him the invoice.

I don't understand this story at all. Preacher wants to buy stuff for the church (all of those things can have legit usage at a church), ding dong here gets his jimmies rustled because someone is trying to pay him money. I don't get it.

The fact that we are forced to attempt to sell this shite before scrapping is yet another reason I hate this holdover job

Yeah I don't get it either. It's not like the preacher is asking for them to just give him the equipment. He's offering to buy it. And it's not like he's trying to buy brand new equipment, he's trying to buy used equipment.
