One of the more unfortunate aspects of my job is that I must occasionally deal with select members of the public.

One of those groups happen to be those who have churches.

They are always looking for a handout, always trying to steal from our warehouse, and always trying to get things for personal use on the church dime.

Some guy just tried to buy all of the apple computers the guys have on hand, a generac portable diesel generator, work out equipment, and a few very under priced pieces of used commercial kitchen equipment.

When I asked why a church would need any of it, he became very defensive and then began justifying the theft from his parishioners.

I can't be the only one disgusted by this. I'm not even religious and this shite grinds my gears.

They certainly have no shame in asking for other people's money and freebies.

Not at all the same...And if a guy is wanting to buy something you have... sell it regardless..

This sounds like a pathetic attempt more than a real beef..

Probably not paying sales tax on it for starters.

I am easily disgusted by the trashiness of people. Even though I have my baseline set considerably higher than the OT, I'm still disappointed whenever someone crosses it.

If they do so while I'm forced to interact with them, all I hear is a little voice telling me there are tons of places to ditch a body in Louisiana.

Edit: when someone tries to convince my guys to load up a pallet of paper to go with their 30$ used bubble jet printer, I consider it theft.

Or attempting to get free dictation pedals, head phones, mic and headphone combos, and keyboards to go with their laptop purchase, theft.

So a preacher is trashy for needing some cash to spread the word of God but a politician doesn't get the trashy label for asking for money to spread THEIR word. Ummm K

It's not your business why he is buying any of those products. If he is in fact doing something shady, he will have to answer to God.

There are crooked preachers out there just like any other profession. I see nothing wrong with a preacher asking for tithes and donations. If you are using the service (the church), I feel it's normal to help ensure the service thrives.

So you've never tried to negotiate the cost of a car or house you've bought? Idiot.

...actually it is exactly MY business.

I only get called in to deal with them because they try to get a discount on everything.

The guy's justification was that he isn't paid much and wanted to sell them. He drives a cl55.......
