Big motorcycle laying on the centerline, and first responders tending to a person a couple hundred feet away.

Best wishes and prayers.

Bikes scare me in BR traffic.

In before "mudcheck".

Sorry if he's dead.

I don't think it's proper protocol to mudcheck a biker gang member while he's still riding.

There is a wide variety of opinions as to the meaning of and proper use of the term on this Board.

Some folks really like a challenge as well.

You'll never see me on a bike in BR because the drivers around here are either texting, talking, eating, putting on makeup, changing lanes every 5 feet, driving 20+ over the speed limit, or a combination of those.

OP made it clear he was no longer riding.

Yeah, they only do this in Baton Rouge. What is the deal with posters today. Is everybody stoned or something?

While I agree with you that BR drivers are, on average, horrific, but riding on a motorcycle is Darwinian in general. I wouldn't be surprised if skydiving was safer.

Then again, I'm a giant pussy, and I blame that on the internet. I've seen too many videos online of motorcyclist turning into meat soup all over the pavement from an accident.

Back in my day we always felt good thinking we could avoid the asshat drivers. No way I'd ride in any city now.

This is most certainly not a problem in BR. BR has the slowest drivers in the universe. Also they slam brakes for yellow lights and fall asleep at every red light.
