Thanks guys!

If offered the job, in Central Florida, I'd probably take it. Setting myself up for success is great advice mixed in with all the other positive experiences with moving the family.

Thanks, again!

Go for it. You can always come back if it doesn't work out. You might regret not taking the risk.

Worth the risk, if it's that good of a job, the experience alone will be worth it. If things go south, you'd be in a better spot.

You're asking the OT for advice?

What is the incentive to move? If everything is comparable I don't get why you would uproot unless future prospects are better.

When people aren't sincere, the OT can sniff them out and then the OP won't get any advice. Yes, I actually trust these band of misfits due to their experiences. Also, you know who to trust and who not to after awhile.

You said you're a sophomore in college. How would the move affect your schooling?

take the local one and finish your degree.

You confess you did this out of boredom.

After you are in your last semester, see what opportunities you have.

Stay in school. Gaming companies have shelf lives of a fruit fly.

This whole "video game" fad is about to fade out into obscurity. You might as well get a job in the "Rubik's Cube Industry".

My suggestion is find another line of work, have you considered welding? Now there's a fad that's not going anywhere.

This..

Who the frick offers a job to a sophomore who hasn't even taken any of the tough classes yet. He should just be getting out of intro shite. Are these job offers based on your current education or a previous experience\career?

Wrong and wrong.

Bitcoin and talking robots are going to make both of these skills antiquated by the end of the decade.

I'm telling you bro, learn to weld.

Look at which business is more established and their past body of work. It seems like every other day I hear about some video game developing company tanks after a bad product and lays off huge chunks of their staff.

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! Don't make this move. Adding a family member is a big change: moving to a new city (stress 2) to take a new job (stress 3) with a new company (stress 4) is … well, you can see for yourself.

I did just what you're thinking of doing about 20 years ago -- only we didn't know we were adding to the family until AFTER we moved to the new city/job. It was a horribly stressful experience; if we'd known we had a child on the way, NO WAY would I have accepted a new job in a new city.

Don't make this move. You're guaranteed to regret it.

Maybe a little scary, but it was the best decision my wife and I ever made.

Plus, nothing is stopping you from moving back if it doesn't work out.
