Having to redo my shower in the master bath since we found it was leaking into the wall. Renovation compay had two young guys busting out the old tile all day. When I got up this am, I apparently left my wallet in a basket on top of my dresser. Now I'm missing a 100 dollar bill. Problem is, that money has been in my billfold for a while and I never use cash. So I can't with 100% certainty say I didn't drop it in the past couple days (magnetic bill clip/ card holder). But I've never lost money like that before. They left a few small bills in the basket if they did take it along with a 3k watch. I don't know if I should bring it up to the main guy or not, especially since I'm pretty sure the workers were family. It could easily be that I'm just unorganized and lost it myself. But I have a feeling they took it. Definitely going to take the weekend to see if it shows up.

Unless you are sure it was them, charge it to the game.

If you're not sure, keep it to yourself. Be a little smarter about leaving valuables within reach of people you don't know.

I realize I screwed up. I usually throw my keys and wallet in that basket when I'm home. Wasn't sure when they were stopping by and I was playing with my son. We never left, so I didn't even think to grab my wallet or anything. Saw it when going out to get dinner. Just frustrating when I'm 80% sure, but could never prove it. They are already robbing me to fix the water damage.

As someone about to undertake a renovation, this has been a huge concern for me. The idea of leaving a crew of guys in my house when I am not there is a big issue. I have way too much crap to be able to put it all away.

Leave a bottle of pain pills laying around. Those guys will take those and leave the real valuables.

I can "get over" the 100 bucks. And I think these particularguys won't be back since a tile specialist will do most of the rest. Just hard to possibly let the same people back in my home.

This. You just can't make an accusation without having real proof or catching them red-handed. Otherwise, just count it as a loss and take more preventive measures in the future.

Troll much?

Your post reads look at me, feel bad for me. If what you posted is true then you are a dumb arse.

If what you posted is true, you left your wallet all day while you at work and maybe lost $100 or not, because you don't use cash but may have spent it in the past couple of days. Is your money In the money clip or a basket? But then you added they didn't take my 3k watch.

Why did you leave your wallet and 3k watch laying around? Dumb arse or Troll you make the call.
My Rolex stays in the safe because my daily watch is nicer and more expensive but I'm not letting somebody walk off with my Rolex.
