The biggest question is where this couple will be dropping off items. If it's going to a shelter, they accept immediate needs only as they have limited storage capacity. If they are bringing to local churches or groups, so much more can be donated.

We've collected diapers, wipes, formula and children's clothing newborn - child's XL. Many also have bedding and household items along with tons of toys if there is room for it and it's going to a place that will accept these items.

Nobody can transport goods and services as well as the private merchants.

Send gift cards or cash and labor.

Forget truck loads of clothes and food. The money you spend hauling that over will be better spent on overnight letters filled with gift cards to reputable charities and churches.

Please consider asking for donations of pet food, crates, carriers, leashes, collars & other supplies. 5 animal shelters had to evacuate & are now desperate for supplies. Those that evacuated with their pets to shelters didn't have time to get food. Shelters & rescues are going to be overwhelmed with strays in the coming weeks.

ETA: Thank you so much for your time, effort & generosity.

I'm planning on bringing some stuff over here in a bit, but I have a question.

I've got one of those big blowers like this:

that I don't need and want to get it to someone who does. Is that something they can take or is there a better way to get it to someone or is it simply not needed?

The truck is filling up with donations. It will be Baton Rouge bound tomorrow mid day. If you are wanting to donate we have a drop location in Plano at Spangler Chiropractic until 6pm or ProForm Clinics in Highland Village after 6pm. Items needed are non perishable food, toiletries, chlorox wipes, diapers, formula, clothing baskets, totes, boxes so people can pack any salvagable belongings. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE DONATED AND HELPED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. If I can help bring a smile to one person who has lost everything (house, job, church, school, car..) my goal has. completed

Just an update see the above we will be distributing. Goods Thursday evening and Friday morning. We will have confirmation of a location sometime time tomorrow evening! I expect it to be somewhere just off interstate 12 in denham springs. Thanks to all for your support!

Gift cards: Walmart, target, shell/Exxon, drug store chains (CVS/Walgreens/RightAid), pet smart

Every penny these folks don't spend on food, household items, gas, med cabinet stuff, is a penny they can put into demo, mold remediation, rebuilding.

Dropped off items today at the Plano location. They told me the UHaul was leaving at noon. Let us know if you organize another as there are still tons of donations waiting to be sent.

There are still plenty of people looking for ways to get supplies there. We could definitely fill a bigger truck with more advanced notice. If we could get a 3 day heads up we could likely get more of the bigger items.
