I'm guessing a smaller, private plane?

Aww. I thought it was Nick Saban flying in to get a haircut. (Yes. He actually takes a private plane to Hammond, LA to get his haircut. I wish I could make that up, but it's true.)

Prayers sent to the people on that plane though.

Does he really? How do you know this? Know the stylist?

Tasteless subtle brag.

But seriously, glad it's not you bro.

I believe most traffic in Hammond is small prop aircraft. The runway is long enough for some corporate jets and military aircraft, but primarily used by smaller single and twin props.

Damn.

Pilot I used to fly with would practice the one engine loss procedures every single time before takeoff.

He was extremely quick, but always talked about what it would be like to do it during rotation.

My flight instructors would say that if not used correctly the second engine was only there to fly you to the scene of the crash. It has been a long time and I am likely wrong, but I seem to remember the Cessna 421 not having that great of single engine performance.

I loathe the c421 worst plane I ever flew. Lost an engine coming out of Monroe once.

Is that a piston or turboprop?
