This picture was taken with a 70,000 x 30,000 pixel camera (2100 Mega Pixels.) These cameras are not sold to the public and are being installed in strategic locations.

Damn, that's impressive. You can zoom in on faces way at the back of the crowd and still see good detail. Big brother's watching.

No, it wasn't. At the top of the page, it even says it's made up of 216 photos stitched together to create a ~2100MP photo, and the photos were taken over a span of 15 minutes.
And the result is artifacting of this nature:

Actually, the resolution is high enough to tell that there are a buttload of Asians in the mix, as well.
