I really can't tell who's joking or being serious in this thread. Entertaining nonetheless.

As with most things it lies somewhere in the middle. Do I believe there could be other dimensions humans cannot access? Sure. I'm very open minded to that idea, and don't necessarily thinks it's supernatural or anything.

But alot of "experiences" in this thread can be explained by biological occurrences in the brain and whatnot. Having sleep paralysis doesn't mean you're traveling in other dimensions. It's actually pretty common, me and my siblings have similar experiences.

Voluntary control of the sympathetic nervous system

Through meditation, breathing techniques and cold exposure

I am fascinated by this...

Besides what you posted, can you give a quick summary? I read the 6 pages, but not familiar with all the terminology used.

Years back I use the practice consciously altering my breathing until it felt like I barely needed to breathe at all .

This was accompanied by a euphoric-like state, and in my solar plexus area felt a warmth / energy vibrating from it with each (sporadic) breath.

One of the best explanations I've heard of astral travel is from a 311 song
"The Continuous Life"...sample lyrics and link below. Have had personal experience once with the radio part (where changing station doesn't change the transmission )
*********************************************
"My radio emits a signal form
A loud noise the kind of which I've never heard before
I scan the dial for more stations but all I get
Is an eerie feelin' I'm not dreaming' this is the real dealin
There's nothin like this trance I'm caught in a daze
'cause I'm finally out of my body the blue lights are ablaze
Yeah I'm really amazed and feelin' so light that's right
Lift off and I'm into the sky
As if a hologram were created to shift my consciousness
Changed again and I'm flung in the rift
I want to be free I want to do right
I move through the portal to be purified"
*********************************************

Summary

30 times balloon blowing
Breathe in fully
Breath out fully and hold until gasp reflex
Inhale fully and hold for 10-15 seconds.
Repeat until finished
Take 5 minutes to relax and scan your body

Is this thread for real or are you guys just playing along?
Until Hog, Ace, and Jake started posting, I thought maybe I was in some sort of Dungeons and Dragon type fantasy role-playing. I mean I spent 10 of college studying in a field of psychology, and I literally have no idea what some of these people are talking about.

I think SabiDojo is trolling though.
