His mom owned and ran the dance studio... she put him through it starting at the age of 2 before he had a choice

I was posting in response to the stupid argument that since it makes life difficult logically no one would choose that path. Therefor the path must be unavoidable.
That's just stupid. People make choices to make their lives hard everyday.
So back to the pedophiles... If a pedophile chooses to molest the same sex does he have a choice?
Conversely, if a pedophile chooses to molest a different sex, where does that fall?
I have never heard questions like this addressed. You seem to have the answers to my tired old arguments. Please enlighten me.

Having children tells you that kids come out how they are without much of your input. My little boy was into trucks and trains without any coaxing at all.

It seems like much of the effeminacy is affected, to me. Whenever I've interacted with a really flamboyant gay guy, I've usually thought, "This feels like a put-on, and I can't take it seriously." But maybe that's just the kind of culture they like so they are embracing it with a lot of energy. I've also met a lot of heterosexual guys over the years that have a macho persona that I feel is contrived.

If we treat humans as animals, animals primary goals in existence are to survive and reproduce. To say someone is born gay is contrary to the most basic principals of biology.

We've gone down this road before just a few weeks ago here. You absolutely cannot compare homosexual activity between two consenting adults to someone that preys on innocent children. You just can't.

Fair enough. I get it but I'm not talking about the act itself. I'm talking about the inclination or driver to commit the act.
So using the "born this way" argument. Are you willing to say pedophiles are born that way? Is it really any different? Folks on here are saying that you can't help who you are attracted to so there is no true choice. If there isn't a choice you must be born that way. I don't quite understand how the argument seems to change depending on who you are talking about.
Also could you link the old thread or give me some search words. I am genuinely interested in the responses.

if it was as simple as choosing not to be attracted to children, then I'm sure the number of pedophiles would drop. or has a pedophile ever came out and said,"I think I'm going to choose to be aroused by children from this point forward".
