Well said. You seem to be very familiar with the game as well

i played a lot in HS and college. I had the opportunity to go pro, but the fast/rough lifestyle of a professional Thrower (as i'm sure you are aware we are called) was not for me.

I always pull out the cannon. Wins every time.

..and when my opponent complains, I pull out this:

here's a video from the contest. you may not be able to hear him say the word right before they shoot, but the refs didnt stop him so i guess it wasnt cheating. The LSU chant was pretty cool also.

Alright, I take back what I said about your story. Way to put me in my place with video evidence.

I quickly estimated the probability of you producing video evidence of your story at about 2% give or take 2%, so I took a chance on calling you out.

I got burned.

Statistically, if you were to always throw the same (ie scissors), rather than picking at random, you would have a 50% chance of winning.

No, you'd have a 33.3% chance.

Ties don't count, so you either win or lose. In that case, it's a loss, but not a win for the opponent.
Since you only need 3 wins to win, it's 50%.
That's science, bro.

re: Paper, Rock, Scissors - Strategy & Tips
I usually open with paper. It's kind of like throwing out a feeler. Statistically, opening with scissors is very rare, so by throwing out paper first, I have a higher chance of a win or tie.

Then if I'm ahead after round one, I go for rock. I'm already in my opponent's head. Will I throw paper again? Big chance, so they usually go to counter with scissors and I'm bringing the rock.

Flawless victory.

If you open with paper, you have to go double paper. No one would see it coming.

re: Paper, Rock, Scissors - Strategy & Tips
another good strategy is to throw out whatever your opponent just used in the previous round

Throw rock so if you lose you already have a fist to punch with.

If you are deadly accurate throw scissors so you can poke them in the eyes.

If you are a bitch.. use paper to slap after a loss

Just pick rock everytime, and if someone says paper covers rock, throw a rock at them and tell them they should have held up paper

In HS, I went out with a German girl. We used RPS to settle all of our 'should we x or should we y' disputes-- sometimes for some very very fun stuff.

Needless to say, I threw rock like a mofo, because you never have to throw scissors against a modern German.

Chance of winning - 33.3%
Chance of tying - 33.3%
Chance of losing - 33.3%

That's like Math, bro.
