took a bit off and started to feel like a bum. From Saturday through yesterday I didn't do a bit of exercise, drank a bunch, adn ate like crap. It was vacation though. Yesterday I did abotu 20 minutes of MMX and did Incinerator htis morning (hate that I won't see it again on the scheudle).

Probably gonna do nothing this weekend, then start phase 3 on monday.

Just ordered p90x3. What weights should I get to go along with it?

Just depends on how much you want to spend. I've done p90x and now p90x3 only using resistance bands and have seen a good bit of success. I would obviously prefer dummbells, but they're just too expensive for me. I bought a pack of adjustable bands with a door and leg strap included from black mountain products off of amazon for like $30 and suits me fine.

I just ordered this last night and I'm a lil excited It looks like a fun way to get some cardio in.

Def will be one of those videos I do when my husband isn't home though. Can only imagine how much I'll be made fun of.

Was wondering if I was missing the thread popping up or it kinda died...

I was in Mexico on vacation last week, so no workouts and shitty eating (although not terrible). Did act like a jackass and crank out some pull-ups on a bridge crossing a lazy river, but that's about it. It's actually amazing how much assistance you get from just you quads down being in water (cranked out 20).

I'll take until the weekend off then get back on something. Got about 5 more lbs to go, and need to get some more definition.

not so good.

I was in abotu week 11 of x3, and I went real hard the week of the 6th before heading ot vegas on vacation that thursday-sunday. Well, when I got back I was feeling a little rough so I decided to take the week of the 13-17 off, kind of extend my vacation. Well, I ended up getting drunk all weekend, and did monday as well, so I decided to take this week off too. And my diet has gone to shite.

I'm really worried that I might have just hit the wall. Thing is, I did 12 weeks of p90x starting in late January, took about a week off, then started x3 and almost finished that. Was super strict about my diet too, 90% of the time. AFter that vacation I just kind of hit the point where I was like "man, I dont' feel like doing this anymore".

On my second run through Max 30. Month 1, week 2. Modifying the schedule a bit to get more cardio and more ab work. Core is getting much, much stronger. Chest is stronger, back is stronger. I love this workout. Pairing it with a keto diet is pretty difficult, but seems to be paying off.

I went on vacation then got food poisoning or something, had 103 fever for a few days and couldn't eat anything. I lost 8 pounds. I've had trouble getting back into body beast. But I only have a few more weeks till school starts back up so I need this last bit count.

I signed up for warrior dash in October so I may mix some 5k training in with BB but I wonder if I'm better off just going with X3 and T25 (which I hate bc well it kicks my arse).

Im on the 3rd week of p90x now and its been such a change from x3. I forgot how much I loved this workout, and I feel great. Gonna knock out the rest of this round and either do another one or do a hybrid insanity/p90x.

Dawg, sorry to hear about the plateau. I sort of feel the same way. Have you thought of doing body beast and adding some bulk? At least the diet won't be as strict

sounds like we're all in the same boat.

I finally got moved in to my new place, but now I have a roommate and really no place there to do my workouts. The spare "bedroom" which may not even be big enough by itself if it was cleaned out, which its not.

I'm thinking about just joining up with the rec center down the road (cheap as hell) and going back and doing some sort of stronglifts or other such program. Until then though, I really need to get my pull-up bar back in place and just do some nightly push-ups and pull-ups so that I can continue making progress. My diet is still good, so I've got that going for me. But taking some time off and just being lazy without the workouts has been a nice break, sadly. I'll get my shite together soon though!

Is it hard to not put on fat during body beast? I don't know much about it.

I definitely put on some of the fat around my stomach back on since I switched from x3 to BB my diet hasn't been as good though (I've been drinking more beer) but my chest, shoulders and arms have increased in size and definition so it's a trade off. Plus I enjoy the change to more of a weightlifting regimen.

I tried p90x and just couldn't do it, too long of workouts and not enough variety but glad Swagga enjoying it:

Yea the length is pretty tough, but I skip the cooldown and shorten the stretching which knocks out a good bit. I really want to do body beast but I want to get leaner and get more definition. At some point that's on the list for sure.

I see. That's what I don't want, though. It sucks that bulking usually involves this . Max 30 seems to be a good mix of adding some muscle growth (limited, but still there), and cutting. I'm actually gaining some weight on Max 30, which seems weird considering the intensity of the cardio.

How's the week been? I'm trying to finish summer strong before work starts back up. Great news is that the gf and I have been playing tennis nearly everyday and that is great cardio to add to my weight lifting.

Roommate convinced me to go for a run with him yesterday. I haven't run in years...literally. Made it 1.5 miles yesterday before having to walk for the first time, then walked 1/4 mile and finished the last 1/4 mile running again. Pretty sure had it of been a flat run (like on a track) I could have kept going. The final part of that run before my walking though was an 11% grade increase for nearly 2 tenths of a mile and that wiped my arse out. (yes, I looked it up on mapmyrun to see how far I went and it had elevation/grades listed) I honestly didn't think I could run a mile. Granted I haven't worked out with my x3 in a couple of months, but I know for a fact that doing that is the only reason I was able to accomplish what I did yesterday.

Finished my 2nd day today love the length compared to the first one. I feel like it's just as good of a workout if you really bring it
