The people having things thrown at them have more of a case against him, just sayin'.

The tickets you purchase to see the game at a stadium/dome all have disclaimers on what you cannot do at a game and throwing things at other patrons is one of them. He could have been warned numerous times as well which led to the quick take down.

We live in such a pussy society. Dude needs an arse kicking glad the cop was there to give it to him. Only injustice is the person he threw something on wasn't allowed to punch the fricker in the face.

That was clearly excessive force. Anyone who says differently is kidding themselves.

You obviously don't know the background or the situation. The take down was not only appropriate, it was exactly what should have happened. The cop was relying on his training and preparation when he engaged. I commend him for his work and his moxy. You should really understand the timing and scenario before posting something so silly. The scenario completely dictated the cop's response and he responded flawlessly.

I mean at the time it was third and eight;an obvious passing down. The cop almost sacked the Gump before he got the throw off. Great technique...

1. his bama buddy wasn't even phased by it, obviously he had been pushing the limits

2. someone was videoing for a reason. you don't point a camera up and go "hmmmm let me see if something random will happen here"

If that full drink hits someone in the head the guy is committing an assault. When you are committing an assault I would think a cops job is to stop it quick as possible with no threat for said attempted assault to continue. When people are committing crimes a tap on the shoulder usually doesn't stop them. I'm sure the drunk fan throwing things would shake his hand and apologize. I mean drunks throwing things are the most reasonable people as we all know. I'm surprised this is getting a reaction. I will bash a cop in a heart beat but this is just reaching

well said Mikey, couldn't have said it better myself

cops can do no right on the OT. Hell they could save someone via CPR and the OT would claim the cop pushed too hard on the stomach

I got a speeding ticket on the way back from Houston yesterday. I plan to sue the police officer and the Texas state police department because they were both wrong.

The Gump clearly has a case due to damages caused by the cop. It is obvious that the gump's feelings were hurt... Oxford pd would be smart to try to settle this one for elventy million dollars.

I agree the cop was justified. It's the same as when cops t bone cars that are speeding. Imagine if those speeding cars ran into someone. Don't speed and you don't have to worry about it.
