I wish he would've been an actual threat and rushed you while you were busy loading the gun to teach you a lesson about what an unloaded firearm will do to protect you.

It's also pathetic that a white guy can't just fight a black guy without needing a shotgun.

You never shoot to wound

Always aim for the chest, always to kill. Or else don't pull your gun out.

The OPs scenario doesn't involve "stand your ground". As someone mentioned, self-defense is what should be discussed.

sounds like to much work that i would rather delegate to my shotgun

Even if he was driving a little fast, he apologized to the man for the event. The other guy just needed to cool off or get his nose broken. Not only acting like an arse but setting a bad example for his kids.

quote:

stand-your-ground law is a law that authorizes a person to protect and defend one's own life and limb against threat or perceived threat, and states that an individual has no duty to retreat from any place he/she has a lawful right to be and may use any level of force, including lethal, if he/she reasonably believe he/she face an imminent and immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death; as opposed to Duty to Retreat laws
I think it would but I'm not a lawyer

I've been told by CCW instructors that if you feel threatened in a public place you need to vocalize that loudly so that bystanders can hear you. You may sound like a moron shouting "I feel threatened!" or "Stop coming forward! I am in danger!" but it's invaluable in defense cases if you have to use lethal means to neutralize a threat.

I I feel my life is really in danger I have no problem shouting this before a put a couple of rounds in them, chances are though that if your life is really in danger you won't have time before you need to pull the trigger.

Ya that is pretty terrible advice!

It wasn't a black guy, the OP made that obvious.
