Precisely.

Boredom, anxiety, depression are just our bodies and minds telling us they are dead bored and need badly to find a new thing.

Most of us just override it, take pills and keep being bored.

Maybe you’re gender fluid. Try being a chick.

I’ve been retired over 15 years. I’m the busiest retired guy you know. I travel a bunch, help with a number of things. I help people with problems. I’ve worked the Baton Rouge Food Bank, Red Cross, built houses for H For H, I help with 4 golf tournaments every year, I donate blood and platelets to friends and family. The list is endless. Get off your rear, start doing something, you will start getting old real fast.

I did a treadmill stress test the other day, my Dr said I was doing great, low blood pressure, I take no meds, low cholesterol.

Most folks worry about stuff they can’t control, worry about stuff you can control.

My mid life crisis was living a life that wasn't me. I probably picked the wrong way to deal with it, but felt I had to destroy who I was.

It worked, but there have to be easier ways to deal with it.

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow.

I’m 55. You just keep going from burnout to burnout. Get up each morning and do it again. Try to develop some spiritual perspective about your life and try to live in the present moment with acceptance and surrender. Easier said than done most days. Sticking with exercise and healthy diet helps.

Time to start planning and go on a bucket list vacation. When you’re thinking about and planning for a vacation it’s good for your mind. Sounds like you need something to look forward to since you’re feeling like you’re in a rut. Try to also take some time each day to be thankful for what you have and how the fruits of your hard work throughout your life are paying off for you each day. A lot of people are really struggling right now but sounds like you’re doing pretty damn good physically and financially. Just gotta get the mental side in line. Good luck

I’m 43 and going through the same thing. Every day is copy and paste and groundhog day.

Two kids and a great wife, but I know what my Monday through Saturday will look like for the rest of the year

I have a great job situation where I work from home and have my territory set up to where it runs itself and I still hit 130% of my sales goal. I make good money, so I’m not leaving that.

I thought of starting a side business just not sure what

I don't have time to be bored

I've been married for 10 years to a wonderful woman but she's got the energy of a rabbit who just had an espresso. In that time she's had 3 food trucks, we've moved 3x, had a new son when I was 47 and between a million diy jobs on the house and helping with the kids and taking a few trips during the year I never even have time to sit and watch the massive growing list of movies and tv i want to see.

I envy people who are bored on the weekends.

I look forward to that one day.

Find some new hobbies. Go hiking, go camping, start learning about the natural world. Buy a cool camera and get into nature photography. Challenge yourself. You live in Austin? Plenty of cool stuff to get into in Austin.

Sounds more like depression than a mid-life crisis. You should seek some counseling.

You didn’t even mention family or anything. That is probably the issue mate.
